so im 16 and would like to get the money to pruchase a gun (yes i know im not 18 my dad will purchase it for me) but im thinking that gun chambered in .223. what do you think? id have to bust my butt this summer to get enough money for it but i think it would be pretty fun to have.
and yes my dad already owns a .223 but its a browning medalion and has engraving and stuff and its just to nice of a gun to pack around on a snowmobile or around in the woods in search of a coyote or just for plinking
yea we already have a remington adl in .308 im really wanting to have a varmint gun my dads got his and id like to get one so we could do father son yote hunting.
Remington model 700 is one of the nicest production rifles available at a reasonable price. As far as 223 I did not think I would like it but turns out I love it. I shoot competitively and it is extremely accurate and very hard hitting. It is also an inexpensive round to shoot compared to 308 or such. If you are wanting a better all around caliber for hunting I would go with 30-06 but the 223 will down most any deer. In 223 if you want to shoot heavier bullets such as 69 or 80 grain then you need to make sure it is at least 1 in 8 twist. Happy shooting.
