There is no universal form for something like this. If you destroy somebody's stuff when you attempt to engrave it, you should expect to pay them for their loss or get insurance to cover you.

Me and my friend had went to the corner store to hook up my system (Radio) and 5-7 cop cars pulled over and flashed the lights. Pulled out their guns and had lasers pointing at us. They cuffed us and threw us in the back. Two different cars, but. The cuffs were very very tight. Leaving welts, one cop had pulled me so hard he had left a mark on my shoulder.. They were cussing and all. They asked me where I had came from and took me to show them. I was in the back cuffed up, No seat belt and he was driving very fast to where I was bouncing around in the back. But the thing is, I had got into a car accident before and I'm terrified of driving fast without a seat belt. So I started having an anxiety attack. They were very abusive when they took us in and out of the car, then they let us go. I'm only 17, a minor and my friend is 21, but because someone had broken into a car and stole the deck, which they thought was us, was the reason for all of this... Is there anything I can do ?

Can you time yourself accurately on your 40?
I dont have anyone to click the stopwatch for me, is there a way to get a good idea of your 40 time, short of some laser-trip timer system?
Also, is there "standard" markings on most tracks to denote a 40 yard distance? There's a whole lot of lines and marks on my school's track, but I'm not sure which set of lines are 40 meters apart, and I'd feel silly going out with a measuring tape
The field isn't marked for football, either, since my school has no program, so I cant just run from the 40 to the goal line....
Go talk to your schools coach, they have a spot already marked for their own players. Ours was in the parking lot. Do not time yourself, it will be inaccurate. Just have your mom or dad go with you, tell them as soon as you go they start the clock, and as soon as you get infront of them to stop it. Do it all the time, as you will have good days and bad days, light shoes and clothing HELPS!

Laser Cutting: The Fundamentals
When we imagine lasers, we may conjure up something seen in the movies. Lasers, however, are a part of our everyday world, making cutting and processing objects much simpler in industry. In laser material processing, a laser will make contact with a target and alterations to that object will happen, such as through the soaking up of photons, which are particles of light given off from the laser. These particles will be changed into heat energy.
How Lasers Actually Work
Lasers are the instruments that control how highly stimulated atoms emit photons to create a stream of light. There are only three things that can happen when a laser connects with a material. The laser light stream will either be reflected, sent, or it will be absorbed into the object. Sometimes two or three of these occurrences, such as transmission and absorption, may occur simultaneously. The beam will be one wavelength and one color as well as compact and concentrated, not like beams of light normally found in everyday life. If the majority of the beam is absorbed into an object, which is commonly the case in laser material processing, the main traits that have to be taken into account are the average power the laser light has, its intensity on the subject it hits, and its wavelength. Intensity on a basic level is the brightness of the laser beam. The wavelength is the series of waves the photons create. Think of a moving water wave, the particles of light are fluctuating in the same type of wave. The average strength of a laser beam is measured in watts (W). Lasers all contain an active medium that takes in energy. The medium can be made of either a solid crystal-like material, liquid, gas (such as in a CO2 laser), or a diode, and contains the atoms absorbing the energy. A laser also has to have a way to make the atoms become excited. This could be a light source, for example.
The optical resonator is a set of mirrors that are found inside the laser system. One of the functions of a laser is to pump up the atoms to get them in an excited state. This is done by pumping up what is referred to as a lasing medium inside the laser. At each extreme of the lasing medium is a mirror. light particles reflect off of both of the mirrors and energize other electrons to discharge even more photons. The mirror at one extreme lets some light escape, which is the laser beam. Getting the atoms excited takes getting their corresponding electrons at a advanced level of energy. The excited electrons that first absorbed energy to get excited can now emit energy as light energy, or a flow of photons.
Classifications
Lasers are rated according to the traits of average power, wavelength, and intensity. This implies they are either solid-state, liquid, gas, or semi conductor lasers. Solid-state are lasers with substance that is optically clear and the active medium is solid. Liquid, or dye lasers have a environment that is liquid and they can operate with pulsing or continuous wavelengths. Gaseous lasers have an environment of gas. Examples of gas lasers are carbon dioxide lasers and neon signs found in shop displays. And the fourth category is semi conductor or diode lasers that are the most common type of laser.

There are different types of lasers designed to slice various types of materials. CO2 lasers have high capacities for absorption, and are often used in the cutting of a plethora of materials such as metals, plastics, and wood. CO2 lasers have other materials in them besides carbon dioxide; they have a mixture of gases including helium (He) and nitrogen (N2). Nitrogen will slice up to ½ inch thick stainless steel in addition to aluminum. Oxygen is able to slice carbon steel. Laser cutting pros include no ill effects on machines, are faster than using other options for cutting, and can cut through thicker materials.

Hey boys an girls! Im not too sure if u know about the website it's called (grove) that does these laser engraved bamboo wooden cases for iPhone, but anyway it can be engraved to ur own personal taste whatever.
However I'm thinking of gifting one of these to my little brother for an special occasion!
I'm not too sure what I should get done on it any suggestion??? By the way his 25..so not so little lol a year younger than me u

I mean, they are called grand pipe organs for a reason. It has been stated that they were one of the most difficult musical instruments to make before the industrial revolution came out, well look how huge they were. I mean they can have up to like 33,000 pipes! Thats ALOT of pipes! This just surprises me. I mean the older organs are so beautiful when you look at them, like come on you can tell they have alot of history to them just by looking at all the wood work and detail engraved in. I recently read on yahoo that some Indian billionaire is building a house worth this obscene amount. I mean, I know that these countries are newly wealthy, but why do they have to spend like the maharajas that use to oppress them. I know they missed the Enlightenment and are just now going through their own Industrial Revolution, but why can't they emulate their western counterparts that are basically giving away their fortunes instead of building up dynastic wealth to further stratify the rich and poor. I don't want to be ethnocentric, but is this ostentation engraved in the pschy of Eastern cultures? What do you guys think?
