What is the most expensive non traditional machining process?
non traditional I mean machines like ram or wire edm, ultrasonic machining, waterjet, laser, and much more
That is most likely laser. The ruby rod for the excitation chamber of the laser is insanely expensive it's self. And because it's not a true beam and spread over distances, it has to be done in layers and built up to the final product.

When shopping for laser clinics such as Dermacare, what are the types of laser machine should I look for? I am not sure what are the differences between LightSheer XC and Gentle Lase or any other laser machines used. Does anyone know what should I be looking for when shopping for laser hair removal clinics in terms of equipment used?

Alexandrite - GentleLase, LighSheer - Diode, are very similar machines and will work well if you have light skin and dark hair. There are some knew systems out there if you have darker skin or light hair that you are trying to treat. The attached site has information on different types of equipment.
