Looking to create a custom binder for recipes?
I am using this binder for a very important graduation-required project. I have typed all of my family heirloom recipes and am now looking for a company who will make me a custom binder to finish my compilation. I do prefer that it be leather, and needs to be a half-page size (or 'junior' sized) binder. I am looking for a 3-ring binder, that I can have a design printed, or engraved. I have searched high and low and can not come across a THING! If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much =)

i am also in the process of writing a few cookbooks myself, and after looking at probably what is ALL of the POD (print on demand sites) the best one (and least expensive) is http://www.blurb.com/create/book/cookbook
you can make soft cover or hard cover, design your own cover, and order sample, review, then publish (so your family can actually BUY the book for themselfs as well).
it is POD which is print on demand, so you can buy just one if you want.
i have my recipes etc., in word, so i'm just using one of their templates, and it's a lot of copy/pasting and making sure everything fits.

You just need one of these? I think it would be pretty expensive. I don't know who does that, but a lot of churches and organizations sell cook books and there's usually a page in them that says where they were printed.
Another thought might be to get a scrapbook at Michael's or Hobby Lobby, or at a scrapbook store, and put it together yourself using pretty paper, die cuts, stickers, stamping. A lot of scrapbook stores can have the albums imprinted for you, but you might be able to get rub-on letters and do it yourself. Creative Memories used to have a kit you could use to put letters on an album's spine or cover, but I don't know if they still do. You'd have to find a consultant (you can get one from their website) and she'd have to order it...if they still offer the thing at all. When you say half-sized, do you mean like half of 8.5 X 11? Most scrapbooks are 12 X 12 or 8 X 8 and I've seen some 6 X 6 too. Creative Memories has other albums that are sized for a calendar book, and that might suit you better. I'd start by looking at a local scrapbook store, or Michael's or whatever big craft store is around you. Leather is going to be expensive, but there are some beautiful fabric albums. I think they're on sale for 30% at Michael's this week, but there's usually a coupon in the Sunday paper for 40% off non-sale items, and Hobby Lobby has a coupon online too. You could check their website to see what kind of albums might be available.
