Why did Jesus rebuke Peter in Mark 8:31-33 when he said: "Get behind me Satan"!?
Mark 8:31-33: And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again. And he said this plainly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man."
Also, who did Peter rebuke before Jesus rebuked him?
Jesus was rebuking Peter because he was unintentionally interfering with Jesus' mission to save mankind. Peter was not looking at things from God's mind, but from a human basis. In doing so, he placed himself in opposition of God at that moment (which he probably didn't mean to do) and anything that is in opposition of God supports Satan. This is why Jesus said, "Get behind me, Satan!" Jesus was basically making Peter straighten up and "get back in line", so to speak.

Why does god reveal himself to illiterates?
I'm pretty much looking at the Mormon faith, and Islam.
Good ol' Joe had scribes to do all his work because his literacy was poor at best.
Same goes for Muhammad... Had to have scribes write it down, etc etc.
You would think he would have more sway if he choose someone who was well read, as well as very glib! Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens), Einstein, Plato, Socrates.
But instead we get illiterates...
I'm a Muslim, OK. it shows you that knowledge in writing doesn't make superior then those who are illiterates. All humans are equal. Its also proof to those people in Makkah, where people all knew Mohammad, that it was not him who is saying such things. the problem its those words were changing everything, freedom of slaves, rights to women, rights to God. People are scared of change, and the people with all the power are scared of their positions(all men and women are equal; only one God).
