Red Laser Tube
I want to do the effect of writing with a laser in Paintshop Pro XI - Any hints?
It was my son's birthday party at the weekend (he's 10 now) and he went to one of these laser quest type parties. Anyway, I want to send the thank you notes out so that they look like they were burned into the paper using a laser. Or, that the red writing looks like it's glowing like a laser. I've tried messing around with brushes and I can't get anything I like. I've also tried looking around for a suitable picture tube but again I've had no luck. I'm probably spending way too much time on something when I could just have gone and bought some thank you cards, but I'm sure I'm not the only person out there who can't give up when they hit a challenge!
All sorts of ideas or recommendations (as long as they don't recommend going to Hallmark and buying cards) are very appreciated.
There are a few third-party plugins (i.e., Alien Skin Eye Candy) that can produce the gradient glow effect quickly and easily.
For static red glow text, try duplicating the red text layer and applying gaussian blur set at radius 6 to the duplicated text layer.
