I have a large flashlight, could i turn it into a laser?
the torch has the power of 500,000 candels, if i put a laser diode in it will the laser be 1 big spread or a thin laser thing
I have another flashlight which has the power of 10,000,000 candles
You may be able to use a collimating lens which converts a wide bean into a straight column of light; however collimating lenses are usually very small.

high power laser diode wood burning
I want to connect 100 lasers, so they turn on with a switch or even ghetto on/off wiring?
I want to create a cool effect with lasers for a friend's futuristic photoshoot. Basically i want lasers to all turn on instantly, versus me having to turn each one on. I think i would buy all the lasers on ebay, or the laser diodes on ebay and hook them up to a power source? i really wouldnt know all the steps, but im sure a few computer science and engineer majors I know can figure it out if i get some help here

Uhhhhh figure out the power requirements from a data sheet. Put them all on a parallel circuit capable of providing the necessary current. Flip the switch to the circuit.
