Metal Engraving Pen
Engrave it pen?
I need help, I am thinking about buying one of those engraving pens as seen on tv but I need to know if any one has tried to engrave te inside of a ring with it? How neat is it? How deep and clear are the words? Please let me know what kind of rings you engraved also becuse they say depending on the metal it will come out different.
Engraving pens are hard to use on an open surface. It takes a knack to get the "feel" so you can make the engraving look "decent" at best. The angle of the pen would not lend itself to doing the inside of a ring. You would have to be very good to make it look good. Plus, the pen leaves a rough edge that would be very annoying scraping on your finger. My advice is don't do it. I don't think you would be happy with the results.

Is there anything I can do - ruined xmas present!?
I took this parker pen to be engraved and i was given visuals and asured it would turn out looking good! i went in to pick it up and you couldnt even see it had been engraved they just gave me this rubbish about the type of metal it was! they said they would "have a look at it" but im worried its ruined. will i be able to get my money back? im so upset it was a really expensive pen and i thought this company was reliable!

Please talk politely to the manager and when he babbles on, just keep repeating, "Yes, but I would like a refund, please" over and over. That is, if it is not retified easily. Good luck Angel, I'm with you.
