Fathers Day Gift Ideas for the Poker Enthusiast

Fathers Day is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for that unique gift for the dad who has everything, consider a custom poker gift.  There are a lot of cookie cutter poker products on the market, but if your father is anything like mine, he already has every thing commercially available. Here are some unique, one of a kind ideas for the poker loving dad who has everything.

 1. Custom-built wooden poker chip case with matching removable poker chip trays.

There are a multitude of poker chip cases and trays on the market, from inexpensive plastic trays to outrageously expensive sets.  If your dad has clay poker chips or more expensive collectible chips, you may want to consider ordering a custom, handcrafted wooden case.  Several artisans will make the chip case to your specifications and allow you to choose from a variety of exotic hard woods and detailed inlay options. When ordering a wooden chip case or trays, you should specify that the finish be chip friendly, and be certain that his poker chips are appropriately sized for the chip case.  Generally speaking, the majority of chips are of the 39mm size, however large denomination chips, as well as chips based on the Paulson Inverted Hat and Cane mold, are of the larger, 43mm size, and will most likely need special chip trays and cases.  Not only can your dad organize those stacks of poker chips lying around, but also add a touch of class to his home poker gaming experience.
