Thanks for the info on the original Stanley Cup....it was in miniature to the current one seen being held overhead after the final game. Who made the current real trophy? I've found out the metal and the engraver, but who made the trophy as it exists today?
There is 3 stanley cups, 1 original bowl and 2 duplicates,
The original cup purchased by Lord Stanley is in display in Toronto hockey hall of Fame..
1st duplicate was created by Montreal silversmith Carl Petersen, this is the cup that is given to the team that wins
2nd duplicate created in 1993 by Montreal silversmith Louise St. Jacques and is used as a substitute in the display case in toronot hockey hall of fame,when the playoff cup is traveling during the playoff games...
