How to properly shave upper legs and what are the benefits?
Firstly, (as a female) I'm not dead set on shaving my upper legs, I'd really, really appreciate some opinion on the pros and cons to doing so, i.e. is it more appealing to a male partner, can it cause problems down the road, why do some women do it in the first place etc.
That said, if I do decide to give it a try I'd like to know if there's a proper way to do so. With my lower legs I've found shaving upwards has left me with no problems, but the times I have tried shaving my upper legs from knee to thigh I have been left with razor burn or red bumps. Depending on the part of the leg is there a better direction to go?
Any suggestions or opinions appreciated 
I shave my upper legs about once a week or if I'm going swimming because I have very dark hair that shows up on my legs and it looks gross. If I had light hair I'd probably only shave if I was going swimming, but since you can see my leg hair, I do it every once in a while so it doesn't get too out of control. I just shave against the growth of the hair, but if that gives you razor burn, then try shaving with the growth of the hair. This won't give you as close a shave, but it shouldn't cause irritation. You can also follow up with a good lotion or moisturizer to help your skin. Good luck.

Why are Segways so expensive?
They cost an arm and leg
almost 3,000 for a used one! And 5,000 for a new one.
Honestly what is their purpose and why alienate the majority of the buyer's market to appeal to wealthier people?
I'd rather buy a very expensive skateboard set, a pair of roller blades, a pro mountain bike and even a used civic instead of those overpriced pieces of crap.
If you own a segway please give me 5 valid reasons to their purpose in society.
