Laser Tube
OK,I have a laser that has 05-LHR-321-180 ,mfg'd August 1998, s/n 7518CY , Carlsbad,California 92008 on it ??
its in a black metal tube casing ,and its about the size of a paper towel cardboard roll. Can anyone tell me what kind of laser it is ,and can you see the beam ,and what kinda power supply this thing needs.
It appears to be a HeNe (Helium Neon) laser made by Melles Griot, Inc. in Carsbad, CA.
I didn't find your exact model number searching their website, but did see very similar model #'s (eg. 05 LHR 211) listed on page 3 of:

I would call them up and ask about details like wavelength and more importantly how to get a power supply for it. Their number is 1-800-645-2737

Hi, Im making a co2 laser and I need to find mirrors. I need to use the laser so price is not an object but I'd still like to keep it relatively inexpensive. I am building it using a tube I made myself and a neon sign transformer as a power supply. Where would be a place to get the mirrors I need online and what kind do I need? Also, about how much would they cost?

Are you talking about fiber optics? I have a fiber optic X-Mas tree. Fiber optics are tubes that carry light through them. if you have a pointer/laser and atach a fiber optic tube to it then yes you could bend the tube and force the light to go wherever.
