Laser Marking Materials

Can you put gun accessories on a Blue Gun?
http://www.copsplus.com/ringsblueguns.php
If anyone is familiar with these replica firearms (used for training in military and police force exercises) I was wondering If you could use accessories made for the gun (IE flash light/laser site for the pistols, red dot sites for the rifles, etc) on the Blue Gun replica.
They say that the blue gun replica is made to be the exact size weight and dimensions as the real gun, just made of a different material (and obviously not a REAL gun)
I ask because I want to get a blue gun and paint it for a costume, but to do the costume properly, I need the gun to have a laser site mounted underneath the Barrel.
The gun: H&K Mark 23 SOCOM

Yes or no basically?
Because if so, i want to put a REAL laser site, if not... I guess ill fashion one for aesthetics...
Well if you're just gonna use it for a costume, then you could go to Wal-mart and buy one their cheap pistols. And I'm like 85% sure that there is a gun that comes with a laser attachment. Then just paint it up. Go to Wal-mart and look. If not, then I think Blue Guns are just thick plastic so you could drill some rails or holes on and buy a cheapo one or make one yourself like you suggested.

| | Laser-assisted Fabrication of Materials (Hardcover) $311.46 Laser assisted fabrication involves shaping of materials using laser as a source of heat. It can be achieved by removal of materials (laser assisted cutting, drilling, etc.), deformation (bending, extrusion), joining (welding, soldering) and addition of materials (surface cladding or direct laser cladding). This book on Laser assisted Fabrication` is aimed at developing in-depth engineering concepts on various laser assisted macro and micro-fabrication techniques with the focus on application and a review of the engineering background of different micro/macro-fabrication techniques, thermal history of the treated zone and microstructural development and evolution of properties of the treated zone. |
| | Laser Fabrication and Machining of Materials $188.67 This book covers the fundamental principles and physical phenomena behind laserbased fabrication and machining processes. It also gives an overview of their existing and potential applications. With laser machining an emerging area in various applications ranging from bulk machining in metal forming to micromachining and microstructuring, this book provides a link between advanced materials and advanced manufacturing techniques. The interdisciplinary approach of this text will help prepare students and researchers for the next generation of manufacturing. Author: Dahotre, Narendra B./ Harimkar, Sandip P. In the spring of 1998, Doug and Greg Kennedy, opened a camping store in Moab, Utah. One night after work (fall 98), a conversation about lights and gear led to a concept for an innovative new lighting device. Clear Products Inc. was founded in 1999 to produce the first LazerBrite flashlight. Early on, the US military identified the LazerBrite system as an important improvement on the chemical lights (glow sticks) it had been using for decades. In 2005, the company changed from a C corp. to Tactical Lighting Solutions, LLC (TLS) and expanded the product line with a number of accessories. |
| | Physics of Solid State Laser Materials $135.33 This graduatelevel text presents the fundamental physics of solidstate lasers, including the basis of laser action and the optical and electronic properties of laser materials. After an overview of the topic, the first part begins with a review of quantum mechanics and solidstate physics, spectroscopy, and crystal field theory; it then treats the quantum theory of radiation, the emission and absorption of radiation, and nonlinear optics; concluding with discussions of lattice vibrations and ionion interactions, and their effects on optical properties and laser action. The second part treats specific solidstate laser materials, the prototypical ruby and NdYAG systems being treated in greatest detail; and the book concludes with a discussion of novel and nonstandard materials. Some knowledge of quantum mechanics and solidstate physics is assumed, but the discussion is as selfcontained as possible, making this an excellent reference, as well as useful for independent study.
