I just got a tattoo and I made a mistake. What is the best way to have it removed?

I have been thinking about a tattoo for a few years. I finally went in and got a small 2" x 2" tat of a design I had wanted above my ankle in black ink. The next day I was sick with my decision. I like the design and placement, but I don't like having this mark on my body. I am following the care instructions given to me. Do I have to wait before it fully heals before laser removal? What happens if I do soak it in water? Would it be easier to remove? I never imagined that I would feel this instant deep remorse
