starting new business now?is it good idea these days in financial dificullties...?

Hello everybody.I am in despair now...Hope someone is able to help.I want to open my own business soon.I think i need more confidence and i am maybe missing two things:marketing-how to target customers and finding the money....
the nature of the business will be channel letters and laser engraving.I know i am weak at finding customers.However i have been approved for bank loan,but i am not very fancy taking it yet.I have heard there are much cheaper and more convenient ways of borrowing like peer to peer sites or in other words people are lending to people without the banks at lower interest rate.If anyone is able to give me more info about those things i will be endlessly thankfull.

My advice would be to keep your engraving as a hobby and get a proper j.o.b. You know the one Just. Over. Broke. At least you will have an income and will not be racking up debts.
