Getting permission to use logo by NHL?

I've been corresponding with a company to laser engraves murals onto ceramic tile. Presently I asked them to recreate the center ice logo of an NHL team, having the tile installed in my basement. The company is requesting I get permission by the NHL and I am wondering who would I contact or if I would have any luck on receiving permission. I doubt it, but as of right now the company won't budge on just creating the mural for me.
I plan on using this for personal use. The tile mural is for the floor decor in the bar area of my basement.

Just to cover your bases, write a letter to the NHL at the offices listed on their website.

Back in the early days of the internet, I used the NHL logo on my website without using it as a link to the NHL website and I received a cease and desist letter from the NHL. They normally don't take issue with what your intend to use this for. The issue would come in if they have a company they have licensed to make the product you intend to purchase. You may be required to purchase it from the company which has purchased the license.

Was watching a video on YouTube and a young women was able to buy a MacBook pro from the money that she had earned selling adspace.but get this. The adspace was gonna be on the MacBook. So it was along the lines of. Help me buy a MacBook and I'll laser engrave ur logo onto my MacBook! How could I do the same? Anybody work for a website willing to tell me if they would do a thing like this or anybody in general know what I'm talking about and know if I can acually do this and how.
