Whats the difference between 2 MP and 10 MP?

I have a Lumix FX500 and I was fiddling around with the settings, seeing whats exposure and aperture settings and different MP settings. I changed the MP setting to 2 MP and shot a close up of my the laser engraving on the back of my Zune and I noticed an INCREDIBLE difference in sharpness than when I shot the same photo in 10 MP. I zoomed both pictures to 16x times and the 2MP picture still looked sharper. Then finally, I zoomed 72x and it was STILL sharper. Im thinking of just keeping it on the 2 MP setting; is there any different reason I should keep it on 10 MP?(Landscapes, self portraits, group photos)

Unless you plan to make really large prints, 3 MP is the best setting.

The number of pictures that memory will hold depends on the mega pixel setting on your camera. My camera will hold about 900 pictures with a 1 GB memory card and a setting of 3 mega pixels. It will take 84 minutes of video at 30 fps. Could use a 5.2 mega pixel setting, but there would be no improvement in picture quality.

Most companies are touting high mega pixel to sell cameras, but high mega pixel settings take longer to process and may not be needed unless required for large pictures or enlarging parts of pictures. Maximum print size for a 3 mega pixel setting is 8 x 10 inches. Click links below for more details.

CAUTION To prevent memory card corruption, keep batteries charged and don't delete. Wait for lights to stop flashing then turn camera off before removing memory. For card readers, double click Safely Remove Hardware. Select then click Stop and OK.

Need iTouch Help!!!! Please Help ASAP!?

Okay so i got a 16 gig ipod touch for christmas, and have kept it in perfect condition. However earlier tonight, another kid at my youth group grabbed my touch when i wasnt looking, and started playing with it. I noticed he had it but didnt think anything of it until i got it back and later noticed that there was a dent on the back and a few scratches, meaning that he took it out of it's case.

I need to get those dents fixed!

The ipod was bought online at apple.com and was laser engraved.

Normally i wouldnt freak out so much but as it is a brand new and very special gift, I'm really upset that it has a dent, so if there is any way i can get it fixed somewhere of if apple can fix it for a cost, please let me know!

I would contact Apple online & ask. Or if there is an Apple Store in your area then run down & ask them there. I'd make the kid pay for it though.
