--- LASER ALARM WITH 741 OP AMP AND 4017 DECADE COUNTER NOT WORKING ---?
Help please...
I tried making one of the laser alarm system as a concept for the school's project. I had to look at existing laser alarm and get working. In most laser alarm circuits the sound only occurs when the laser is cut off, but this one is different as when the laser is cut the alarm rings until it is reset. I tried making one myself from a already made schematic by someone. It did not work. Please if anyone who looks at this post could try making one themselves and see whrere the error occurs, That would be very greatful. It would not take a very long time to link the components on the breadboard. I don't know, but I think the schematic is incorrect, but I don't know where. So please help. The Link is ...
Can you find just the schematic? I can't get a good enough look at the one in the video.
My experience with YouTube is that 90% of them are fakes, but this could be OK. But I don't see the need for the counter.

| | Machine Tool Vibrations and Cutting Dynamics (Hardcover) $87.69 "Machine Tool Vibrations and Cutting Dynamics" covers the fundamentals of cutting dynamics from the perspective of discontinuous systems theory. It shows the reader how to use coupling, interaction, and different cutting states to mitigate machining instability and enable better machine tool design. Among the topics discussed are; underlying dynamics of cutting and interruptions in cutting motions; the operation of the machine-tool systems over a broad range of operating conditions with minimal vibration and the need for high precision, high yield micro- and nano-machining. |
| | Laser Guided Scissors $15.99 Okay, so we're not quite at the point in the future where everyone has their own flying car and, possibly more disappointing, we don't have personal laser cutting instruments. But judging by the way people drive while still on the ground, we're probably not ready for flying cars or laser cutting instruments for that matter. Still, a geek has to dream about such things, right? For now we will go with these Laser Guided Scissors, that will at least help you make some straight cuts. The built-in Laser helps you get straight cuts in paper and fabric, whether gift wrapping or working on a project at home or in the office. |
| | 12 Cutting Board $20.99 12 Cutting Board Max Bait Trays are stackable, interlocking and interchangeable. Made with marine grade powder coating for easy cleaning and the trays are white to reflect the sun's heat when exposed, unlike the stainless systems which absorb the heat. There are 2 depths of trays available; a shallow tray for smaller, skirted bait like ballyhoo and a deeper tray for bulk bait, large rigged bait and boxes of frozen bait. This keeps the bait from becoming mush when exposed to melted ice. The patented design conducts the cold up the stack to the trays above. The ice in the bottom of the cooler comes in contact with the bottom tray and the cold is conducted to the tray above. As the tray comes in contact with the bottom of the tray above it, the cold is conducted through the stack. This system keeps the bait much fresher than systems where the trays just hang in the cooler depending on the ice to cool it without contact. This system is designed with a cutting board that will fit into any of the trays located at the top of the cooler. It allows the angler to cut their bait and place the board back into the top of the cooler to keep it out of the way. It also keep your bait fresher. The dense board acts as an insulator since the top of the cooler is where most of the heat exchange happens. By providing more insulation in the top of the cooler, the board increases the life of the ice and bait. *Size designed to fit half of the cooler, two trays will fit side-by-side |

Does the cut to the Missle defense budget really put america at that big of a risk?
As in, Obama and Gates are shaving 1.4 Billion dollars off the Missle Defense system, and the newspaper, which seems to be anti Obama in nature to me, said that it would make our country weaker because it would cut funding to this Laser Defense system that we are working on that would destroy any missle launched around the world a few seconds after takeoff.
Anyway, is this true? Will we be more vulnerable since no body has even tried to shoot us with long range missles?
we will be safe for 8 years...clean up our deficit and then we can spend more money...nobody wants their programs to be cut but we have to start somewhere...our kids do not deserve what we are leaving behind
