Laser Cutting Aluminum

What's the easiest way to cut a roll of aluminum foil in half?

For a craft project, I need to cut several rolls of aluminum foil in half (to make two 6" wide pieces out of the 12" roll).
I could use scissors, but that'd get pretty boring after 200' of just one roll.
I tried a hacksaw, but the blade tore up the edges of the foil.
And I don't have access to a high-powered laser.

Any ideas?

I would try again with the hacksaw, but this time wrap the part you are cutting with a few layers of masking tape (nice and tight!) Then place the saw in the center of the tape when you make the cut. This way the two severed ends will stay taught while you finish the cut. After the cut, you can just peel the tape away. At least, it works for making bamboo flutes when you don't want the ends to splinter.
