Locket Engraving for Girlfriends Sweet 16?

So, my girlfriends sweet 16 is coming up, and I thought it would be a good idea for me to buy her a gold locket.

I have $20 extra which I can use to engrave the locket. Heartsmith offers $10 for an initials engraving on the front and $10 for an initials engraving on the back.

So, obviously I would have her initials engraved on the front, but I was wondering if I should also have my initials engraved on the back (so the locket would have both of us on it), or just leave the back blank. Or maybe I could even have "16" engraved on the back, since it is her sweet 16.

So, what do you guys think I should do? Thanks for the input : )

Defiantly engrave her initials on the front, but I'm not sure you should put yours on the back. It depends on whether or not you guys are very close or not. You are young, so you never know how long the relationship might last. If you did put your initials, it would be a great memory of you... To be positive.

I like the idea of putting '16' on the back, personally. I think it would still be to her fancy, and it's cute and a good memory. No matter how old she is, she could still wear it.

No. It's pretty girlish. Guys don't really wear bracelets. Try to do a watch and engrave the back of it. Something that's special between the two of you. He'll always remember you when he wears it.
