how to setup a cnc barfeeder with twin head turrets

i am new at maching and have a hard time knowing what tools i should use to machine my parts for ex. what size boring bar, what size drill, roughing tool etc etc can anyone help me

For boring bars you want the thickest bar that will fit the hole sticking out as short as possible, just make sure that the back of the bar won't hit anything when the turret turns.

If the bar has flats for screws make sure that the screws are sitting flat on them. If it is crooked so that the tool point is above centre it can cause problems.

If it is a round bar with no flats the easiest way to set it up is to face a piece and do a spindle orient. Then go in in handle mode with your roughing tool and scribe a line on the face. Then call up the bar and turn it so the insert is lined up with the line you scribed. If you have chatter problems having the point slightly bellow centre can help.

Most people use a CNMG tool for roughing, it's the eighty degree diamond kind. Depending on what the part looks like you can finish with one too. If there are undercut you might have to use a DNMG or VNMG tool, they are 55 degree and 35 degree diamonds. For some reason the DNMG and VNMG tools chatter less than CNMG.

Drill size depends on what you are making.

Never run a machine with a barfeeder so I can't help you with that part.

Definately find out how to set the limits so you don't hit the jaws. And how to run it in graphic mode so you can make sure you don't rapid a boring bar out the side of a part or anything like that.

How Much Horsepower will I gain?

I have an 07 mustang gt that has a saleen supershaker (which is a twinscrew supercharger), ford racing headers, off road x pipe, race bullet mufflers, and a bunch of suspension, also 93 octane tune which was dyno at 420 Horsepower. I have ordered twin screw stage 3 cams, cnc cylinder heads which are also stage 3, 8 rib overdrive pulley and a 2.8 under pulley which should run around 15lbs of boost, a meizere water pump,39lb injectors, 3.73 gears and a forged bottom end along with a aluminum drive shaft and a better fuel system and charged motion delete plates. And I was wondering once all that is on how much horsepower will I gain or have total after I get everything retuned with my car?

there is no way to tell based on the information you shared. Dyno horsepower and real world driving horsepower can differ quite a bit; not sure what you are after? ... add the parts one at a time and then test and tune; sometimes parts work well together and sometimes they don't. don't assume that just becaused you rambled off a bunch of numbers and tech sizes that it will give you ultimate power in your ride. The parts need to be married together for the best performance... is this a street car; daily driver (I hope not); drag car... need more info; your current dyno numbers also seem to be rather disappointing. I should thing you could reach 500hp with what you have already? 15lbs of boost sounds mighty weak to me for what you mentioned; your boost should be higher. Also switch your fuel to E-85; a bit more kick than pump gas
