Hanging Lamp Lighting

I need lighting suggestions for an indoor "photo shoot"...?

The studio we're using doesn't offer much of any natural light b/c of the lack of windows and as of now just has standard light from floor lamps & hanging lamps. The camera does have a flash. I just know that I'll need some type of lighting set up, so the pictures come out right. The subjects are modeling makeup so the color cant be washed out or shadowed. I appreciate any help, thanks!

I just first have to say that begging for best answer votes is pathetic.

OK sweetie, get yourself some white foam board (available at any craft store). This is your reflector. Have someone hold it in a strategic spot to bounce as a fill light.

Bounce your flash as well. Are the walls white? Is the ceiling white? If not, bounce it off your foam board.

You don't have any professional equipment/lights? This may sound silly but aluminum foil can act as a silver umbrella.

Do you have to do the shoot indoors? Take that foam board (get a few of them by the way), use your flash for a fill, and bounce the gorgeous sunlight on your models. Just avoid high noon when the sun is at his highest.

Photography is a lot of problem solving and improvising. By playing around with different materials (foam board, foil, mirrors, etc) you can find some gorgeous lighting. To this day I still use foam boards. I may be a professional, but they work and they're easy.

Practice, practice, practice. Don't wait until the day of the shoot to figure this stuff out.

Now that I think about it, get several large white foam boards. Since you're doing beauty shots, you'll want to put one under the model's chins. Maybe a white foam board box around the model's face is an option. Experiment.

I am looking for a old decorative electric oil angel lamp. It reminds you of a bird cage and has fishing line going down all around it. The oil drips down off the fishing line and there is a light that reflects the oil come down like a real pretty waterfall.. My friends grandmother had one in her house but this was over 15 years ago when I saw it.. I need help knowing what they were called.. Any suggestion..
