Golf Engraving

Please someone help me write this sentence correctly...it's something for Father's Day that I have a question?

I want to write something like this..."My son has hit a high bar of expectations from his Father". I want to say this the right way and what I mean is that. this was my husband's first fathers day. my son is 3 months old and me and him got his daddy an engraved Best Dad frame with a picture of Dad and Son together. We got him a Thanks Dad coffee mug, and we got him 2 golf tshirts since he loves to play golf, and we got him a music card.
So pretty much we were creative this year. So for me to say that my son Ravi has hit a high bar of expectations from his Dad, is that right? Then I want to say ...like Father like Son, cause his Dad is always creative for getting other people stuff. Can anyone help me word it? Thanks!
