Engraving On A Wine Glass....Need Suggestions!?

Its My partners birthday and i am getting him a wine glass that can be engraved, i am not sure what to put on it though as i have a engraved wine set too which i have put on your specail day with love etc.

I am wanting it to be personal but something a bit more then happy birthday.

Please can someone give me some ideas!

The last part is like a wishing well good fortune kind of thing, and it sort of fits because it's on a wine glass you'll drink from, right?

How to Etch Glass : What Is Glass Etching?

If you wanted to ensure that information lasted for many thousands of years, what would you record it on?

If stored in an airtight container and kept away from human interference for many tens of thousands of years, what information format would you suppose would last through time? Perhaps engraved titanium set into glass or sand?

Also, what type of concrete/steel construction would you suppose would be best suited to store this information?

How do you know the container won't break?

What if a flood or Earthquake moves it, buries it, crushes it, etc.

I'd engrave it on a metal plate, and then put it in an orbit around the sun, or on the surface of a geologically inactive body (e.g. the moon)
