Explosion Proof Light
Risking my life for minimum wage.?
I work for a Grain handling facility in the middle of nowhere and every day I risk my life from faulty equipment, hazardous environments, buildings that are not kept up and are falling apart. I have to make confined space entry's into areas with known grain dust hazards by my self with out the proper equipment or explosion proof lighting.
its only a matter of time before some one gets seriously Injured.
if I call OSHA this place will most certainly get shut down and every one working here will be out of a job every one else I talk to say's I'm lucky to even have a job. But I don't want to die for minimum wage.
This is really in the middle of nowhere its not like jobs grow on trees up here.
The company is not going to do any thing to repair the violations. or make this job any safer.
What should I do???

| | The John and Spencer Booze Explosion $7.18 The idea of a collaboration between 764-Hero's soft-spoken frontman/guitar hero John Atkins and Murder City Devils' howler Spencer Moody would have never occurred to most people. In fact, the mere suggestion of such a thing probably would have elicited a round of hearty chuckles. However, with their respective bands calling it quits, the unlikely duo got together for a one-off recording session under the almost overly sly moniker the John and Spencer Booze Explosion. Rest assured, the name is where the group's similarity to the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion ends.An odd and eclectic array of cover songs, the Booze Explosion's record is interesting, but will most likely only find an audience in those who were already fans of the members' other outfits. This is a bit of a shame as the nature of the songs included on the album don't seem likely to strike a chord with this demographic. The albums opens with "Girls and the Dogs," a number by Belgian singer/songwriter Jacques Brel. Moody's dramatic, nearly theatrical, reading of the song seems rather in line with Scott Walker's famously grandiose voicing of the tune that charted well in England in the late '60s. A few more modern songs are included on the record as well, including Air labelmate Sebastien Tellier's "Black Douleur" and Ben Folds' typically playful and campy cabaret number "Boxing" (which has also been covered by Bette Midler). A rather straightforward rendition of Fred Neil's sparse acoustic ballad "Felicity" is well-suited to Moody's sometimes talky vocal style, making it easy to reimagine him as a Lee Hazlewood-esque singer in the '60s, rather than a '90s rock & roller. This comes in handy, as the Explosion also tackles Hazlewood's "Ladybird," albeit sans Nancy Sinatra and her big white go-go boots. The record closes with a rendition of the Velvet Underground's "Jesus" that is nearly as desolate and haunting as the original. Though few of the songs covered on this album truly reinvent the visions of the original recordings, they are worth checking out -- not so much as a novelty -- but as a glimpse into the eclectic tastes and talents of some fine musicians. The Explosion has actually managed to unearth a common musical thread that runs between obscure '60s French pop songs, '90s cabaret revisionism, and the Velvets, the surprising thing is how natural the connection seems now that they've brought it to light. If there is another album in the Explosion's future, it will be interesting to see what sort of game of musical connect-the-dots they lead next time around. ~ Karen E. Graves, Rovi |

| | The Explosion $7.18 An Oi! record on Jade Tree? What happened to the nice-guy, catchy emo-pop for which this label has been so notorious? Even if this record is supposed to set an example that Jade Tree doesn't strictly release music from one specific genre, the Explosion deserves to be more than just a breaker of classifications. This band produces catchy, singalong Oi!-punk anthems, taking their British influences from Blitz, the Business, and the Addicts. None of the members of the Explosion were probably even born until after the punk movement of 1977, but that doesn't stop them from recapturing the moment. | | #1 Hits Explosion $11.18 If the Apples in Stereo had only made Fun Trick Noisemaker and then quit, their legacy as a legendary pop group would have been secure. In 1995, nobody else was making records as giddy or as full of wonder as the Apples, and definitely no one was making records as exquisitely arranged and magical on a shoestring budget. The release of Fun Trick was a defining moment in indie rock that came pretty close to being a lo-fi pop masterpiece, and still sounds just as amazing. That the Apples couldn't top it is no cause for shame on their part; that they kept trying and ended up creating a catalog as rich in great songs and records is cause for celebration. The cheekily titled #1 Hits Explosion is just the kind of career-summing package the band deserves and it makes clear just how wonderful a band it is. Gathering songs in roughly equal numbers from all six of their studio albums (and adding the infectious rocker "Signal in the Sky [Let's Go]" that they recorded for The Powerpuff Girls' Heroes & Villains soundtrack), the collection focuses mostly on the ultra-hooky, power pop-influenced side of the band. Starting with the booming rocker "Energy" from their most recent record, New Magnetic Wonder, the songs fly past like gooey sticks of bubblegum, glowing and shimmering like the finest pop music of the '60s and '70s. "The Rainbow," "Go," "Shine a Light," and "Ruby" (just to pick four) could have easily been hits in 1967 given the right circumstances, "Shine a Light" sounds like a low-budget ELO, and there's absolutely no reason "Signal in the Sky" wasn't topping the charts in 2000. Only "Strawberry Fire" and "20 Cases Suggestive Of..." hint at the trippy, hazily psychedelic side of the group, but even then the hooks in the choruses are strong enough that you could hang a cement overcoat from them with no problem. The possible flaw with the collection is that -- as is the case with any such album -- one of your favorite tracks might be missing ("Glowworm" from Fun Trick, for example). i am wondering exactly what explosion proof vehicular lighting is.
Light Emitting Diodes (L.E.D.) is less power consuming and they don't displace a lot of power when broken.
Bulbs and those High Intensity Displacement Headlamps have more current running into them and that could ignite gas fumes when they are broken in an accident.
