What do the letters mean that are engraved on newly cut keys?
I've recently had a key copied, and on the new key the letters R and JL have been etched in. What do these mean?
right handed or left handed side the grooves fit into the barrel of the lock and i know this as i cut keys all day at work eg
basic door key is L4 or on a key cart it is 64 in the order of keys

Onto my vastly lined old hand
Keep me young,
Slow down my fate,
Strike up the band, cue up the band
Please? I’m on my bony knees
Because violas keep me young
And flushed brass trumpets,
Free your sounding beats
With your fully-abled lungs
If orchestras don’t free up time
Please cut the clock
And saw its hands
And with a final oboe’s squeak,
I’ll scream a high B flat
But with no flowing hands to play,
There are no songs for bands
And it will finally engrave the day
Of life’s complete onto my hand
Hm. I like the weaving of age and music; it's original.
"Strike up the band" and "cue up the band" are both redundant and cliche. Other than that, I can't think of anything else, which is a good thing, because usually, when I critique poems, my edits are very long 
You did a good job with this. I think you might want to mention dying more than music, because it seems you use so many metaphors that it kind of bogs the poem down. That's just my opinion, but if you want it to be equally about age and music, keep it as it is.
