Schubert: Symphonien 1-8; Dialog & Epilog $95.98 Starting in 2003, Jonathan Nott and the Bamberg Symphony pursued the ambitious project of recording Franz Schubert's symphonies Nos. 1-8, and the SACDs were individually released later that decade to considerable critical praise. This 2011 set of six SACDs brings together the four albums with the symphonies, plus two collections of modern compositions inspired by Schubert's music. Nott's conducting tends to be on the fast side in Schubert, and the Bamberg Symphony is sometimes a little uneven in sound quality. But by and large, they demonstrate a great understanding of Schubert's styles, both in his Classical and Romantic veins, and acquit themselves with enthusiasm and brilliance. While there is little doubt that listeners will enjoy the clarity and transparency of the Schubert recordings, the Dialog and Epilog volumes will be a harder sell, for the offerings by Jörg Widmann, Wolfgang Rihm, Bruno Mantovani, Dieter Schnebel, Luciano Berio, Aribert Reimann, Hans Werner Henze, Hans Zender, and Kurt Schwertsik will be, for most listeners, quite difficult to relate back to Schubert. Their reliance on quotations, fragments, and fleeting references to pieces by Schubert gives them a rationale for being included to show how he still influences composers to this day. But the strong avant-garde or experimental flavors of these works will likely put off those who only care for the unadulterated symphonies. Egon Wellesz: Symphonies Nos. 1 & 8; Symphonischer Epilog $13.58 Egon Wellesz's Symphony No. 1 from 1946 isn't too bad. At its best, it's second-rate early Berg and at its worst, it's second-rate late Berg. The Symphony No. 8 from 1969 isn't too good. At its best, it's third-rate late Schoenberg and at its worst, it's fourth-rate late Schoenberg. And the Symphonischer Epilog from 1970 isn't any better -- just more fourth-rate late Schoenberg -- but it is shorter. The performances of Wellesz' symphonies by Gottfried Rabl conducting the Radio Symphonieorchester Wien are more than competent and less than convincing, that is, in tune and in time, but no more than is required by the musicians' professionalism. For listeners who need to know the state of the Austrian symphony after the war, Wellesz is absolutely necessary. For the rest of us, Wellesz is strictly optional. What type of filter would i need for a laser cutter?

I want to know what I could use for a simple and small blower i could fit next to my desk and would preferably be quiet and cheap.

Hi there.

I suggest you look at the cubit feet per minute (CFM) and Air pressure requirements that Epilog states in their liturature and then go to both Grainger.com and HarborFreight.com see if they have anything close.

I doubt you'll find any kind of blower of air compressor that is quiet, but cheap you'll find.
