Engraving Unit
I Need help researching my grandfather who served in world war 2...?
My grandfather was a combat engineer in ww2. I am not sure which unit he was in but i would like to find that out and some other information. I am making a guitar memorial with his information like which regiment, maybe a personal number of some kind.. I am also going to have dogtags engraved to weld to the straplocks on the guitar and would love to have his info on that as well. His name was James McCracken. I know he was buried in washington or oregon....i am 70% sure oregon...again he was a combat engineer. he did live through the war, he died from colin cancer when i was 6. any help with this would help thank you so so much.
