I bought this ring a couple of days ago for $120 AUD

It is not real diamonds but Cubic Zirconium, and it will have words engraved inside the ring, do you think i have been ripped off? Sadly i didn't think about this or looked at jewelry shops. And also it is made out of Titanium.
I couldn't afford real diamonds! I bought it for my boyfriend who i will be surprising him with it =]

How much does jewelry engraving cost?
The ring is titanium (if it makes a difference) and I want it engraved with our children's' names and birth years for my husband as a Christmas gift.
Most jewelry stores offer ring engraving... some for free if you bought it from them! The catch sometimes is it can take a few weeks... but you seem to have time! If you don't want it sent anywhere, call a few of them up and see if they do it on site. While you're calling around, get prices too. Most likely should be between $20 - $50, depending on what the jewelers charge either per letter or flat fee or material differentials.
I have an engraving business (and am saving up for the ring engraver) and will charge a flat $25-$30 but will do it within the hour. Feel free to take a look!

When you get it pierced, it has to be pierced with metal or else it wont heal properly, also, piercers have special long length bars to accommidate swelling, just get it pierced by a professional piercer with the extra long length metal bar to accommidate the swelling, rinse it twice a day with sea salt and warm water for 2/3 weeks until it's fully healed, go back to your piercer who will size it down and get the bar metal but the balls plastic then you wont chip your teeth or mess your gums up
