Photo Invitations?

My family and friends pretty much expect uniqueness from me. I don't like doing what everyone else does. ei: traditional engraved invitations. I'm really good at Photoshop and since I want good quality prints, I may use an online photo service. I will print 100 5x7s, tie a ribbon around each one, and put them in envelopes with their names on it. I think instead of throwing it away they will be quicker to frame it or place it in a photo album as a keepsake.

Here's some examples:

Anyone ever use photo invitations; did you prefer photo prints or card stock? What do you think of them?

I use them on card stock (as most people would probably not frame them). I think they are unique!

who's name goes first when engraving something for a wedding?

i am ordering a signature frame where the guests sign the metal mat instead of a traditional guest book, and am ordering our flutes for the wedding and i am wondering who's name goes first, the girls or the guys??

heres the frame

http://www.jessicaswedding.com/Personalized-Signature-Frame-Contemporary-Style/productinfo/DS4500/

and here's the flutes

http://www.jessicaswedding.com/Two-Hearts-Crystals-Flutes-Personalized-Free-Available-Mid-May/productinfo/MG920/

our names are Jessica and Joe

so should it be:

Jessica And Joe
August 28, 2010
-or-
Joe And Jessica
August28, 2010
UPDATE: we were going to put Joseph, but my fiance really wanted Joe....i mean in that case we could put Jess....

ughhh....now i'm really torn cause its like 50-50 wit the answer!! lol

Based on the two previous answers, maybe I am wrong (yayks!). When we had a meeting with the invitation place, she said my name (woman) goes first. She said it's because it's supposed to be my day (?). So all of our engravings have my name first. Oh well, we can't redo them.

EDIT: Wohoo! I have Karli on my side.

EDIT: OK so now I'm curious if we got it wrong. I tried to look at the name on the website and I can not read it from those two. But on this one it clearly says the girl's name first:

http://www.jessicaswedding.com/Wedding-Photo-Album-Personalized-Free/productinfo/MG756-WED/

I would say that my invitation person and that website should know which one goes first because this is what they do for a living.

EDIT: OK I found these website that says it's the woman's name first.
