Engraving Rocks Stones

How do get stone engraved with lettering?

I found this nice big rock on Manitoulin Island in Canada, its white, shalestone I beleive it is called. I would like to get my house street number and my last name carved/engraved into it. Who do i call to get this done or could I do it myself somehow?
