What to get my Boss as a Gift???! Help!!?

My boss (off only 6 months), gave me a nice gift for xmas (Burberry scarf, Burberry ear muffs and juiccy couture lease and chain for my pooch)... I thought it was very nice and thoughtful of him! But I didn't get him anything! However, I did throw a surprise party for his birthday in the office a week prior to Christmas, but I thought still, I was empty handed when he handed me the nice gifts and I kinda feel bad...Someone suggested a very nice pen with his initials engrave, I think that's nice, any suggestions where I can find one?? Thanks!!

IMO, it is too late. Just write a nice thank you card and let it go. Think of it as a bonus from work and leave it at that.

Is this a nice gift for my boss?
i work in a medical office. 3 mnths ago my boss passed away. her husband is trying to keep the office open by hiring new doctors. we had a christmas party last year and i took some pictures. I have one picture of my doc, her husband and all the girls from the office standing next to a christmas tree.

i'm thinking of a christmas gift to give him. I was thinking of putting this pic in a frame and engrave the date of the last christamas we had. maybe he will put this frame in the office so we never forget about our doctor.

I think it's a fantastic idea.
Of course he's feeling very low right now.........she only died 3 months ago.......and besides the fact that it takes 3-4 months for the reality of the death to really sink in, he's approaching his first Christmas/holiday season without her which will be having a huge impact on him. It's not that you're bringing back painful memories my dear.........he's already in pain! Hopefully a picture like that which is a wonderful tribute will help him remember the good times he had with her before her death.
Too many well meaning people tip toe around bereaved people because they are afraid of saying or doing something to hurt them, upset them or make them cry. In fact, it's good to acknowledge the person and especially with Christmas approaching, I'm sure he'd like nothing more than to talk about other Christmas seasons he shared with her. It's important to him and his family that his wife's presence and her absence be acknowledged. I think he'll be deeply touched that you would do that.....and I'd ensure the picture was hung in a prominent place in the office. Depending how big you've had it enlarged, it would be nice to put a little engraved memorial plaque on the bottom
