Would you pls tell me whether this paragraph correct in English? (1.2)?

Are they correct? If not, how could I change them?
"The monument of King Haotai is made of a whole piece of calcareous breccias, only carved a little. It is in the shape of quadrate pillar. This kind of stone is common near Yalu River, Ji’an. This monument is the only one which remained the original look of the stone. The monument of King Haotai is 6.36 meters in shape and erected it, engraved it. The epigraph is engraved on all sides in Chinese in 44 lines, 41 characters each line, totally 1755 characters. Because of the stone cracked and desquamated, now about 1590 characters left. The Chinese characters is about 9 to 10 centimeters in Lishu, some of them are Zhuanshu and Kaishu, forming a quadrate style. It is an important example pf the changing from Lishu to Kaishu in the history of Chinese characters."

minor corrections only:

The monument of King Haotai is made of a whole piece of calcareous breccias, only carved. It is in the shape of square pillar. This kind of stone is common near Yalu River, Ji’an. This monument is the only one which preserved the original look of the stone. The monument of King Haotai is 6.36 meters in diameter with engravings. The epigraph is on all the sides in Chinese in 44 lines, 41 characters per each line, 1755 characters total. As the stone is cracked and desquamated (medical word, change for peeled?), only about 1590 characters left now. The Chinese characters are about 9-10 centimeters in Lishu, some of them are Zhuanshu and Kaishu, forming a quadrate style. It is an important example pf the changing from Lishu to Kaishu in the history of Chinese characters.

explain Lishu, Zhuanshu, Kaishu in brackets, since non-chinese speakers don't understand

Was Chief Seattle an environmentalist idiot?

I had to learn this poem in Environmental Studies class. Plus its engraved on many monuments at National Parks.

After the last tree has been cut down,
after the last river has been poisoned,
after the last fish has been caught,
then will you find that money cannot be eaten.

Chief Seattle 1851

Why didn't he know that money can buy food?
Now. Here is what Stanford University says about it:

Idiots.

Obviously he was not to bright. He underestimated the white man.
