headstone monuments protocol?

what is a proper monument for a husband that has passed and left a second wife , one child . previous wife and two children .

we have selected the style / type of granite but am not sure about the engraving / enscription into the stone .

would the front side say this name dates of birth - death , in the middle the father, husband (s) , title

are two flower sort of vases on each side appropriate for a single burial . wife may remarry not sure if her place is with first husband or second husband ?

family tree on reverse side ? are both wifes his 1st and 2nd listed and then the children of each marriage ?

is the military headstone monument then to be placed at the foot part of the grave site ?

An ex-wife of divorce should not be included when there is a current wife around. Totally tacky.

However, if the first wife died, and the current wife is agreeable, the husband can be buried between the two.

If the current wife does not remarry, you bury her with her husband. If she does remarry, you bury her with her new husband.

Skip the family tree if the kids are not going to be buried in the same plot. All it does is add confusion as to who is there.

If you have a military HEADSTONE, (the raised cross or Star of David marker) that goes at the head and you DO NOT put any other marker there. If you have the flat granite or brass military marker, that goes at the foot if there is a separate headstone, otherwise the flat marker goes alone at the head.
