Is there a minimum width that your wedding band or ring has to be for engraving? Thanks!?

I have a very thin band for my engagement ring (2 mm) and I would like a wedding band of similar size but would like to get it engraved as well. I was just wondering if there was a minimum width the ring would have to be for engraving. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks!

2mm would be the minimum width to engrave without complications. my wedding band is 2mm's in width and i have it engraved without any issues. there was however limited space because the top half of the band has diamonds set into the band but it was more then enough room to put what i wanted engraved inside the ring.

Engraved wedding bands?

I am going to have our wedding bands engaged, and I want to use a quote from the Bible that reflects what a good marriage partner should be.

Any advice? (I only have room for 225 characters, including spaces and punctuation)

1 Corinthians 13:4-8. The whole text reads:
