Duracoating mechanic tools?

Im an aircraft mechanic and have had the problem of others stealing my tools or getting mixed up with others tools. I had close to about $2k worth of tools stolen from me and Im constantly finding other guys tools in my box. I was thinking instead of engraving my name into them (Not very personalized and they can still get mixed up and hard to identify when others are using them) to duracoat my tools (Thinking maybe a red tiger camo pattern.) I have a good amount of duracoat left from a project on an AR-15. Do you guys think that duracoat would stick well to that type of forged metal? Any ideas?

Duracoat is a firearms finish, and any firearms related topics would fall under the huntic topic. This why I am posting this here. If I post it anywhere else the chance of other people knowing what Im talking about is slim. Thank you

Well you may not like my simple answer but here goes. I see why you posted this here with the whole duracoat idea (my bad for not thinking the 1st time.)

Now as for me personally I think tools should be used and thats that. I don't need nothing fancy as long as it does the job. I think you would just like a reason to have cool looking tools. I would say just engrave ur name into them and be done with it. Than no one could argue with you that there not yours. Although the whole idea would be cool it would honestly not serve any other purpose other than maybe some jackass actually wanting to steal them more because their purdy lil paint job. Just put your name on them and you'll be good to go.
