Diodes Series
if i have a voltage source 'v' and a current 'i' entering a resistor at end 'a'.?
what current will leave the other end 'b' of the resistor. will the resistor limit the current flowing in the rest of the circuit or will the effect be restricted only across the ends of the terminal?
2)will passive components such as diodes connected in series modify the current flowing through the resistor??
The current entering at A will be the same as the current leaving at B. The voltage, however, will be reduced by I * R.
2) A diode, being a nonlinear device, may be debated as to its passivity, however, current is constant (everywhere the same) in a series circuit. The current everywhere will be equal to the total voltage (less any drops across semiconductor juntions like diodes) divided by the total resistance.
