How to stop cutting without seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist?
Im a cutter...i really really wanna stop but its so hard...its like a drug..i get a rush whenever i do it...im trying to stop..i was doing ok for about a week and then i did it again last night..i've tried snapping a rubber band on my wrist whenever i get the urge to cut..that didnt work out too well...the only people that know about this problem is my friends...my mom doesnt know that i cut..and i love her so much and sometimes i want to tell her and other times i dont..sometimes she's the one that makes me do it...im tired of trying to hide the cuts and scars...i need help..
Find One Person To Confide In.
Don''t try && go cold turkey from cutting. Stop gradually. it will get easier. Accept the fact yoo might relapse but yoo have to try your best not to give into it.
Realise that you don't need to cut to deal with your problems. write it down. Talk to a friend.
Perhaps you could even go to a doctor & get meds to try & control your mood. They could help you see the good things in life.
Though it may seem the easiest method of dealing with things it's probably the worst thing you could do.
You probably already know how addictive it feels. The rush & relief you get when you do it.
Trust me. I know what you're going through here. I'm still stopping after over 4 years of cutting. It's hard but I'm lucky enough to have a boyfriend and two friends who support me through this.
With your mom. You could tell her what's going on. Just don't tell her it's her fault sometimes. Tell her about everything else... Parents could be more understanding than you think.
I hope you can get over this for your sake. You don't want all those scars on your body when you grow up do you?
Even though it doesn't look like it, & this sounds cliché...It will get better. && it will definatly get easier.
All you need to do now, is say, 'I've gotta stop this. Screw the self harm I can get over this & survive without cutting myself'. Yoo have to say this and mean it. Get rid of the things you harm yourself with. & don't get anymore things to cut.
Yoo need to be strong & put all your will power into this.

Rubber Cutting Machine
I used 2 be a cutter but I need help again.?
I recovered from cutting 3 years ago but lately I have felt the need 2 do it again. I have been using a rubber band 2 snap myself with. Any tips or ideas on something private that will help me with this. It would have 2 be something people wouldn't really notice though because my family doesn't know anything about this and if I started going somewhere for help they would find out. Thanx for any help you can give!
i know how u feel...i went 11 days so far and slipped up today...congragulate urself on how long u went, and use it to keep going. tell urslf "I've been cut free for three years, i can make it another" im trying to recover myself i just dont quite have the skills to do it yet. just keep telling urslf tho. u went 3 make it another....i hope this helps and if u need 2 talk im always open 2 it. keep ur head up and good luck.
