Why are women considered such a distraction for the man...?

I saw the documentary on the Quran last night and I saw how men had a huge place to pray whereas the women had a tiny (cutoff) section where they could hardly be seen. Why is this? OR maybe females should have their own mosque to pray in? I personally felt like women in Islam are treated as second class but that is my personal opinion. I was disturbed at how some Islamic countries actually cut off a females private parts so she won't have any sexual enjoyment.

Female genital circumcision doesn't have its roots or basis in Islam - it's cultural, even though you will come across a Muslim or two who actually believes it to be a part of the Sunnah. They couldn't be more wrong.

As for the state in the mosques ... I think I better not make a comment. The whole idea of segregation is insulting to my mind and integrity as a woman. I am NOT a Vile Temptress!!! And no man will trangress if he takes a look at my bottom while I pray (which I don't, I'm just speaking metaphorically).

By the way, men have attractive bums too. So women could cry temptation as well. And yet they don't.
