Cnc Plasma
I have a 3D steel die. I want to duplicate that die. What process is recommended?
Plasma? CNC router?
*CNC router.
*CNC Contour Cutting Machine (Wire Type).
I have seen this machine that make your duplicate die [having material like "WPS" with ease.]
Accuracy is within +/- 0.001 mm.
[Good , accurate programming is needed for CNC operation.
Costly affair but highly accurate.
Costly affair in the sense that it requires "constant voltage,constant frequency and constant conductivity of DM water and initial cost of machine is high.]

Cutting a Sprocket with CNC plasma - PlasmaCAM
CNC Plasma Cutting?
I am interested in starting a metal working business. I will have to purchase a CNC plasma cutting system. Any ideas on which is the best? I don't want to spend tons of cash. I've looked at plasmacam and practical cnc but cant decide.
I am wanting to start a part time metalworking business. Mainly cutting out gate entrances, custom logos, a few custom parts, etc. Mainly smaller gauge metals.
I dont know what your application is, but check out abrasive waterjet and laser before you commit. Each has their strengths.
