i was wondering. I have an xbox (NOT 360). Bear in mind that it is completely unused. Anyways it is posible to take apart the xbox 360 and make a burning laser out of the diode. But it uses a completely diffrent diode to make such as more gameplay, online gameplay etc. Is it possible to make one out of the diode in the xbox nr 1 ???
I dont think it has been done so you can take the chance though I dont recommend it. On Xbox 360 Live they ban all modify hardware systems, that could be the same for your Orginal Xbox. Its a chance too take.

Can I cause damage to my eye with a DVD Laser? (read description)?
I know my DVD drives laser is a class 1 under normal use. But I was using a hotswapping technique when I by accident looked straight into the diode of my DVD burning drive. I instanlty pulled away after but afterwards my Left eye kinda hurt for 3 seconds. Could I have caused damage to my eye? Does anybody know what class a DVD laser diode is without the protection in place?
You could of damaged you eye lids or eye balls
