Wall plaque with Greenman on door..meaning of this?

My fiancee got a gift from a friend that we are trying to figure out the meaning of.

The gift is of a wall plaque of a door, with the knob on the right side. There are three inverted stars on top, and three on the bottom. Inbetween the stars is the face of a Greenman. The plaque has been painted green with gold accents.

We found on the web that the Greenman itself means prosperity, but what do the other elements stand for?

elements? well if there are stars those have many meanings including invoking. if it has a greenman its more than likely all associated with prosperity and protection.

if by elements you mean that there are symbols for earth air fire and water then the plaque might be also for a home blessing.

Al carving Coffee Time

i put polyurethane over hot pink paint for shine and the pink has turned a horrible yellow-orange?

I painted a bedroom set for my daughter last summer. Most of the furniture is slick black with glitter all the trim, inside drawers, drawer pulls, accents are all pink. I painted polyeurthane over all the pieces for a deep shine. The black is perfect looks like glass & sparkels, but the pink is a horrible peachy-orange mess. I must have used wrong type of clear coat. It is embarrasing 2 my daughter now & it was georgeous. I was actually proud of myself for how pretty it turned out. I hand cut new drawer pulls in shape of playboy bunny head & used the black and pink colors the bunny represents. I made a large 3-legged bunny side table, wall plaque, and more. BUT I NEED HELP. Can anyone tell me how I can get that darn clear coat off so I can repaint the trim and accents hot pink? I dont want to touch the black if i can avoid it as it is impecable. Can I just sand the accent color & repaint darker pink 2 cover & what do i use to top it off to keep pink from changing color again? Im s

you have to be careful with polyurethane, most of them have yellowish tints to them, especially when combined with reds. Try a spray on clear coat (not necesarily polyurethane, they are usually more clear) Turpentine or paint thinner would take it off, you'd just have to be careful around the black that's already there. Make sure to tape it off really well, or remove the handles if you can and do it away from the rest of the furniture.
