What do you use in the shower to clean your body of embedded dirt that doesn't come off with lathering soap?

Hi there, sometimes I do get dirty and my body needs a good cleansing in the shower. Using a loofah or just sliding soap around my skin doesn't seem to get all the dirt out of my skin, it seems stuck in there like it impacted my skin like a comet.

I've tried to scrape away the dirt with my fingernails, and it works, but the only thing is that it starts to hurt after a while, and my body shows it with all the red lines where I've been scraping with my fingernails.

Is there anything that isn't as abrasive as scraping with your fingernails, but is abrasive enough to slough off the dead layers of your skin and clean out the embedded dirt? I've tried using facial exfoliators and body exfoliator gels, but those things don't work and it's a stupid gimmick. Sure the microbeads can agitate your skin a little, but it is not abrasive enough to cut through the skin to scrape away the dead layers and dirt trapped inside.

You could try using a mesh body puff. They are more flexible than a loofah and form to your skin better. They gently exfoliate, can be used with any soaps or body washes that work for you and won't irritate your skin so bad if you scrub with them. Using a lotion or oil after cleansing will also help remove dirt from the skins surface.
